Test a QR code in the environment where people will scan it

This tool creates a static QR code: the image stores the content you enter and its destination cannot be changed without generating a new image. Test it on real devices before using it in print or at an event.

Example: add a registration link to an event poster

Paste the full HTTPS registration link and choose 512px. If the poster may be folded, marked or scanned from farther away, select a higher error-correction level. Download the PNG, leave a clear white margin around it, and scan the printed design at its real size with at least two phones.

Before you publish

  • Confirm that scanning opens the correct, safe and long-lived destination
  • Do not crop the code too tightly or cover its corner markers
  • Static QR codes do not provide visit analytics, destination replacement or remote content updates
